Nestled in the vibrant heart of Seattle’s 15th Avenue East corridor, Harry’s Bar is a cherished neighborhood gem where authentic flavors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere come together to create an unforgettable bar experience. More than just a place to grab a drink, Harry’s Bar prides itself on an eclectic menu that beautifully marries Italian comfort food with thoughtfully crafted cocktails, making it a prime spot for casual gatherings, celebrations, and everything in between.
Walk in and you’ll be greeted by an inviting ambiance where the buzz of friendly conversation flows easily across the room. The staff, described by regulars as personable and attentive, excel at creating an environment where guests feel like part of a close-knit community. Whether you’re seeking a quiet lounge vibe or a lively night out, Harry’s Bar deftly strikes the perfect balance of chill and spirited.
At the heart of Harry’s culinary appeal are their sensational pizzas and hearty Italian-inspired dishes, each delivering layers of rich, mouthwatering flavor. Patrons rave about the distinctive pizzas — from the indulgently cheesy Meatball and the crisp, garlicky Oyster and Onion Pizza with a Cold Beer pairing, to the robustly topped 25 Pepperoni Italian Sausage and Mushroom. The crusts offer a satisfying chew that stands proudly apart from the typical thin-crust style many are accustomed to, appealing to diners looking for something with a bit more substance and soul.
Beyond pizza, the menu boasts comforting plates like the velvety Baked Lasagna, the savory Carbonara with Pancetta, and the delicately herbed Pesto Chicken Fettuccini. Each dish is crafted with a clear respect for robust Italian flavors and a certain home-cooked authenticity that invites diners to savor every bite. The fresh Caprice Salad offers a lighter yet equally flavorful counterpoint, perfect for balancing out a hearty meal.
When it comes to drinks, Harry’s Bar truly shines with its meticulously curated cocktail list. Whether you’re drawn to the zesty brightness of the Indochine gin cocktail, the smoky warmth of the Sazerac, or the herbaceous complexity of the Negroni, each drink is crafted with a nuanced understanding of balance and flavor. Complement your evening with a glass of one of their fine wines by the bottle—from the elegant Italian Chianti Reserva to the California Pinot Noir—or celebrate with sparkling choices like Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne for an extra-special occasion.
Customer feedback echoes time and again the consistent quality and undeniable charm of Harry’s Bar. Longtime patrons highlight the generous portions and flavorful food, noting how “gooey cheese and crispy crust” create pizzas that surprise and delight. One guest, identifying as a New Jersey native, appreciated the uniqueness of the crust’s bread integrity, which grows even more satisfying once cooled. Another heartfelt review came from a birthday party organizer who praised Harry’s for seamless, attentive service and accommodating a large group without imposing unreasonable minimums—a rare find in Seattle’s dining scene.
Whether you’re stopping by for a robust meal paired with a cold cold beer, seeking an expertly mixed cocktail in a laid-back atmosphere, or gathering a group for a special celebration, Harry’s Bar stands out as a beacon of flavorful food, excellent drink, and genuine hospitality. It’s a place where every visit feels like coming home, and where the neighborhood pride is as palpable as the aroma of perfectly baked pizza filling the air.
Service and food were great! Definitely we will be back! Full bar menu. We didn’t get pizza but they looked good!
amazing neighborhood staple. personable staff/service, great food and happy hour. we love it here!!
Blown away by the portions and the pizza was incredible. Gooey cheese and crispy crust. Perfect for people looking for something different than New York style thin crust. Great staff and location.
Took me way too long to visit this 15th Ave staple! It’s a great place to lounge and hang out since the atmosphere is chill. The food was great too. I’ll admit, as a Jersey boy, the pizza did not match what I expected. However, it was tasty, and after it cooled off a bit, the bread integrity showed itself. My dining partner ordered a nice, garlicky pasta. Don’t be like me and walk by this place 500 times. Visit soon!
Thank you for making my birthday an amazing night! I called ahead to reserve tables for a large group (18 people) and they were very accommodating! Didn’t require us to spend a huge minimum amount like a lot of restaurants in Seattle. Table was ready when we got there, staff were all super attentive and on top of things, all very friendly and helpful, and the food came out quick and amazing! Everything was super tasty and filling. They let us bring a cake too. Would highly recommend!
Harry's bar was a really nice, relaxing spot to grab a beer and admire their whiskey options. The space inside is eclectic - a beautiful bar setup amidst a more Italian restaurant vibe. While the pizza I received was only okay (wasn't a fan of the crust), my beer was tasty and the service congenial. Would come back again to try their apparent whiskey Wednesdays.
Classic Seattle neighborhood bar. When you want a good cocktail and a range of food options, this is a good choice. I came for happy hour and the dirty gin martini and spinach artichoke dip hit the spot.
